Postcode Lottery – Down to Drugs Manufacturers Not Health Authorities

Yesterday, 4th July 2008, a lady in her 60s suffering terminal kidney cancer, had to travel from Salford in Lancashire to London, to attend the High Court, in her desperate bid to have a drug prescribed, that could extend her life by 5 months. Despite her doctor’s recommendation, the local health authority refused to supply the drug on the NHS because of its cost: £30,000 a year per patient.

Vampires

The profit to the drug manufacturer on that drug is probably in the order of £29,000 a year. It’s on drugs designed for just this purpose - a few months life extension for terminally ill cancer patients – that drugs manufacturers make their fattest profits. They could afford to give them away. Show a little humanity. But no, like vampires, they prefer to suck the last drops of blood from dying victims.

In countries where the sick have to pay out of their own pockets, people re-mortgage their homes to get the money for such a brief period of extra life. Here in the UK with our National Health Service, the local health trust has to pay – or not pay, when they are strapped for cash.

Some regional authorities can better afford to pay than others. Those that can’t afford it are regarded as heartless and uncaring. But the real villains are the profit-mongering drugs manufacturers. Squeezing a last few pounds from desperate, dying people, is something they are so well-practised at.

No Interest In Curing Cancer

The drugs manufacturers have absolutely no interest whatever in finding a cure for cancer. To do so would be committing financial suicide. A cancer cure would mean no more £30,000 a year drugs that provide a mere 5 months more life. No more ultra-powerful painkillers to ease the suffering of terminal cancer victims. So you can be sure they will not produce a drug that is a genuine cure for cancer.

Meanwhile they fight tooth and nail to discredit natural treatments that do cure cancer. Just like a drug-based cancer cure, these could decimate their profits if enough people turned to them. There are several cancer cures out there; all of them natural. Dr Contreras in Mexico is credited with a 100% success record in defeating cancer. But only when patients have not been previously treated with chemo or radiotherapy.

Conventional treatments all but destroy a cancer patient’s immune system. Natural treatments work by boosting the strength of the immune system, so it can fight and kill the cancer for itself, as it’s designed to do. But when an immune system has been virtually destroyed, it’s touch and go whether or not its strength can be restored.

Malignant Melanoma Beaten

A nutritionist friend was able to help his wife fight and beat malignant melanoma. I’ll call her Jo, though that isn’t her name. She prefers privacy. By the time the melanoma, (the most dangerous form of skin cancer), was diagnosed, a scan showed it had metastasised. Six tumours were growing in Jo’s liver.

The only conventional medical treatment Jo had, was surgical removal of the melanoma from her arm. She refused anything further. Instead, she took a bevy of high-dose, effective nutritional supplements to stimulate her immune system. And she prayed. Never overlook the power of prayer!

Her husband sought advice on the best supplements from others with experience in nutritional therapy for cancer. He spent £400 a month on supplements for his wife. Though this may sound a lot, it’s a drop in the ocean compared to the cost of drugs that give a mere extra 5 months of life.

After taking the supplements for six months, Jo had another scan. The tumours in her liver had completely disappeared! There was no sign of cancer anywhere in her body.

That was back in the year 2000. Since then Jo has had regular scans. There has never been any sign of the cancer returning. Eight years totally free of cancer, compared to a drug that extends life by five months, and doesn’t cure the cancer.

So Jo’s husband spent £400 a month for six months. That £2,400 has ensured Jo’s health for eight years to date. That’s a cost of £300 a year for those eight years.

It's claimed that we are all producing cancer cells all the time. A strong immune system quickly kills these dangerous cells. But our immune systems can be weakened by drugs prescribed for various ailments, by inadequate sleep, by stress, and by noxious chemicals in our homes. As well as by several other factors. When your immune system is so weakened, cancer cells are able to survive and multiply.

The supplements that Jo took cost £400 a month, because she needed large doses to help her body fight the already established cancer. If she'd been taking those same supplements to reinforce her immune system when she was well, the dosage would have been much smaller - as would be the cost.

Drugs Manufacturers Are Puppet Masters

Many thousands more could beat the Big C at a similar cost. Maybe less. But if they did, you can be sure the drugs manufacturers would find a way of making such a treatment illegal. They are the puppet masters. Politicians, doctors and media barons all dance on their strings. Via their puppets they are right now tightening the noose on all forms of natural health that threaten to undermine their vast profits.

They have the EU sewn up. That’s why Gordon Brown wouldn’t permit a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, despite Tony Blair’s promise. He knew the vote in the UK would have been a much more resounding NO than that of the Irish vote. Why should Brown be so worried? Because the UK is next in line to the USA as a major drug manufacturer and exporter. The bigger their profits the more taxes paid. Not to mention palms greased.

In the USA a man was sentenced to a longer prison sentence for providing information on a natural cancer cure, than a convicted rapist or paedophile would get in the UK. He was prosecuted by the FDA (Food & Drugs Administration), a government body paid by drugs manufacturers to authorise their drugs. (“Cross my palm with silver!”) Yet another puppet dancing on strings pulled by drugs manufacturers.

Meanwhile back in the UK the government pours billions of pounds of taxpayers money into the NHS. This helps pay the greedy drugs manufacturers the minuscule cost of their drugs, plus the exorbitant profits they pile on top. Brown claims the government will do away with the ‘postcode lottery.’ But you can bet your sweet life they won’t do away with the drugs industry’s obscene profits, made at the cost of your health.

Meanwhile those who suffer most are the unfortunates like the terminally-ill lady mentioned above. She, like the majority of the population, was conned into believing in a vast profit making machine called medicine that has no intention of ever curing cancer. Its only aim is to further increase those already over-inflated profits, and sod your suffering madam. To them that lady is a figure on a balance sheet. And no more.

Doctors - Rip Off Your Mental Blinkers!

If the medical profession was capable of removing the mental blinkers fitted in medical school, and accepting the facts that are laid out for them to see, they would accept that drugs do not cure cancer. Equally they could with a little effort, accept that the right nutritional supplements can not only prevent cancer by reinforcing the immune system, but in many cases give the body the strength to beat cancer once it has a foothold.

Then there would be no postcode lottery. An individual cancer sufferer might struggle to find £400 a month. But a health authority that would struggle equally to find £30,000 for several patients, could easily afford £400 a month.

Come on doctors. Some of your colleagues have found the strength to wrench off their mental blinkers. A few have even chosen to train in nutrition, instead of relying on that maximum of six hours the rest of you had. Stop looking after the drugs companies' profits and look after your patients' needs instead. Sell your pharmaceutical shares and remember your Hippocratic oath: 'First do no harm.' Every drug has adverse side effects, so every drug prescription you write breaks that oath.
